Comparison of EGaffiliateprogram with other affiliate programs:

* EPC Estimate: The estimate of the "earnings per 100 clicks". For all sites listed above (except for EGaffiliateprogram.com), the EPC estimate is taken from Commission Junction (www.cj.com) for a 3 month average ending April 21st, 2007. Since websites on Commission Junction (a traditional affiliate program) pay their affiliates straight commissions per referred sale, the EPC is a simple calculation. For EGaffiliateprogram.com, the EPC estimate is a range because the affiliate can control their own EPC by controlling the product sales prices. The EPC range is an estimate and does not guarantee any specific return. This is how the EPC estimate has been estimated for EGaffiliateprogram (EGAP):

EGAP Basic or EGAP Standard:

Sales data was taken from a website on the Easy Group network for a 1 month period 2/24/2007 to 3/24/2007 (see figure 2). This shows data from Google Analytics estimating the RPA (Revenue per Acquisition, which is the same as the "earnings per 1 click") at $3.42. That means that the EPC ("earnings per 100 clicks") is $342. Affiliates on EGAP BASIC or EGAP STANDARD get a flat 25% commission on the revenues. 25% of $342 = $86

EGAP Premium:

Sales data was taken from a website on the Easy Group network for a 1 month period 2/24/2007 to 3/24/2007 (see figure 2). This shows data from Google Analytics estimating the RPA (Revenue per Acquisition, which is the same as the "earnings per 1 click") at $3.42. That means that the EPC ("earnings per 100 clicks") is $342. Affiliates on EGAP PREMIUM do'nt get a straight commission like websites on Commission Junction, instead they get paid for the gross profit that their site generates. Gross profit can vary by affiliate because it depends on what items are sold, but also because the affiliates can control the selling prices, thereby either raising or lowering the gross profit. We estimate that the gross profits for any given affiliate with reasonable resell prices could range between 25 - 50%. Therefore the EPC needs to be adjusted downwards to adjust only for the gross profits. The adjusted EPC based on this data (after adjusting for profitability) is $86 to $171.

• $86 estimated EPC is based on a 25% profitability
• $171 estimated EPC is based on a 50% profitability
• Affiliates can control profitability by raising or lowering the product selling prices. The 25-50% range is an estimate only and does not reflect the actual profitability the affiliate can expect, just like the EPC from Commission Junction is only an estimate and does not reflect the actual EPC that the affiliate can expect

   

* Repeat Sales: For all sites listed above (except for EGaffiliateprogram.com), there is a cookie limit for how long you can earn commissions on referred sales. These cookie limits usually range from 30 - 120 days for these sites as per April 2007 Commission Junction data. With EGaffiliateprogram (EGAP Standard or EGAP Premium), you OWN your domain and logo and so customers are free to revisit and reorder from YOUR website, so no cookie limits exist
